Group Forum: HR Einherjar

Previously, the Einherjar was one of the most dominant groups in Hell Rising since its creation. Teamwork and dedication were mandatory for its success; however, due to recent turns in the game's player base, such seriousness no longer has a place in Twilight.

With the true All-Father's return, the Einherjar now travel down a much more flexible road.

The Einherjar's main strength has always been teamwork, and this is not about to change. We enjoy engaging in spontaneous sieges of certain buildings and taking over large areas of the map for no particular reason other than to assert our dominance and display our prowess. These activities require intense communication and the ability to understand orders. For the most part, that is all we ask of our members. See our Expected Behavior section for more information.

  • Einhärjar: Elite.
  • Valkyrja: Elitette.

[edit] Expected Behavior

As of August 24th, 2010, the expected behavior of our members has been considerably lowered. They are free to do as they please. All we expect from them is to know when and when not to let their stupidity get the better of them, and that they follow orders and listen to their superiors. Our success has relied on group communication and trust. If we cannot depend on you or trust you, your stay here will not be a long one.

We are a group of vikings, after all, and we expect you to act like it, whether through non-consensual assault of others' hindquarters or the compulsive consumption of the vital organs of a random pedestrian.

Forum registration is no longer mandatory, but choosing not to register will have you missing out on vital group communication.

[edit] Politics

The allies and enemies listed below are solid connections. Any other groups listed on our group page are temporary or conditional.

[edit] News

June 5th, 2009 - What started out as Hiei having a Death Squad meeting at Ulysses Library (11, 6) soon erupted into a stronghold battle teaming allied forces Death Squad and the Einherjar against the Aundae Clan and Warriors. The battle lasted for over five hours in real time. Afterwards it was decided by the few remaining members of both teams to move to Fort Howard in Sobersville, taking stand in the armory after a quick sweep of the entire base and the execution of one straggling human foolish enough to be hiding in the base at the time. - Documentation courtesy of Death Squad

July 20th, 2009 - What we assume was an attempt to relieve Boltside from Einherjar control ended in nothing but humiliation for the Warriors as their main forces were pinned to the floor dead and unable to call for help. They attempted to stand up and run only to be effortlessly struck down time and time again. This lasted about four hours in real time, after two of which it appeared that the Warriors had given up for the day. The Einherjar then sent out search parties to kill off any of the stragglers that might have been lurking around, where none other than the old gang leader, Bootsy, was found and immediately slain.

August 28th, 2009 - After stepping down from leadership due to private matters, Tyr returned with a new mindset on which direction the group should head with their policies. He decided to start by re-organizing the ally and enemy lists to only include competent groups, rather than looking at it from a "fair" point of view. Believing that the feelings of his group members were more important than keeping other people happy, he broke several peace treaties in order to give everyone more targets during the lull in new players. To further provide more victims for his bored crew, he repealed his statement on Team Killing, allowing them to kill whomever they wish to so long as they were not allies.

Along with this came the decision that the Warriors were no longer a threat, but instead a mere joke, and were dropped from the enemy list and their territory handed back to them. To make up for this, Tyr declared war on the Army National Guard, which had been showing up around Fort Howard trying to push them out.

September 28th, 2009 - Vampage 2009: a city-wide tour of slaughter to see which participating group could rack up the most kills during a week-long competition, or a bloodthirsty raid for glory? Never the matter, for if there is anything the Einherjar know, it's wiping the floor with both their victims and their competition. From the start the group was winning by a landslide, so much that Tyr nearly lost count (I'm still not sure if I missed a few numbers or not...). And by the time he did stop keeping track the Einherjar had accumulated 162 kills, whilst second place, the Aundae Clan, had no more than 60.
At the end of Vampage 2009, the Aundae Clan had a grand total of only 106 kills. The Einherjar had won.

November 14th, 2009 - Tyr has left the realm of Twilight City for personal reasons, and the Einherjar await the War God's return. Until that day, Berzerker leads the group for beer, bloodshed, and glory.

December 15th, 2009 - Tyr returned as leader of the Einherjar. The game seems to be in decline and nothing of note really happens. Many Einherjar find it harder now to find worthy opponents to slay...

February 25th, 2010 - Tyr must step down and hand leadership over again due to various problems, but currently still checks in on the group. Game still in decline, the Warriors seem to have finally accepted that Boltside is no longer their turf. Aside from the occasional spray paint spam wars, there is no direct, heated conflict against them. It was also deemed they are not worthy of being on our enemy list.

March 10th, 2010 - Little to no serious skirmishes or battles possible to wage. Berzerker is still current leader and Tyr still routinely checks in and gives advice. Council member Nemo has left, and on this day Berzerker, ROFLcousin, and Tyr decide to do a group inactivity purge, reducing membership from 25 to 15. Also, a minimum level requirement of 15+ was made for membership into the group.

August 24th, 2010 - Tyr returns yet again, and with him he brings another group reform. This time he has his mind set on a revival of the game and the human race's numbers. His eyes gaze towards Fort Longden...
